Early Saturday morning, the Atlanta Police Department responded to a car accident and shooting incident in Midtown, resulting in the blocking of an intersection.
Police reported that two individuals sustained gunshot wounds at the junction of Peachtree Street NE and Beverly Road NE.
A Channel 2 Action News photographer at the scene observed two cars involved in a collision, with multiple officers conducting an investigation.
Both shooting victims were transported to the hospital, according to the police.
The shooting is still being investigated by APD. Based on initial reports from officers, it was revealed that one of the individuals who was shot crashed into another vehicle after being fired upon.
According to the Atlanta Police Department (APD), the individual who sustained a minor head injury managed to transport himself to Piedmont Hospital. The identities of both individuals involved in the shooting have not yet been disclosed, and authorities are actively investigating the incident to gather more information.
