A tragic incident in Cobb County has resulted in the death of one man and the arrest of another.
Police were summoned to a residence on Lorene Drive, located off Austell Road, on Sunday evening around 7:30 p.m.
Travis Johnson, a 48-year-old resident of Marietta, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigators have chosen not to disclose any information regarding the events that transpired prior to the shooting.
An accused shooter, Bobby Pegues, 40, from Smyrna, has been apprehended and now faces charges of murder and aggravated assault.
