Two-vehicle collision on Interstate 15 in Chubbuck leaves three injured

Three individuals were taken to the hospital following a collision involving two vehicles on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 in Chubbuck.

The crash took place on Monday afternoon at around 2:20 p.m., as per the Idaho State Police. A 2017 GMC Terrain, traveling southbound, collided with the rear end of a 2016 Honda CR-V, just south of the Northgate exit on the freeway.

The impact flipped the Honda over, causing it to land on its roof in the southbound lanes of the freeway.

All three occupants of the Honda, including an adult male and an adult female, and the adult male occupant of the GMC were transported to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment. The Pocatello Fire Department ambulances were responsible for the transportation, according to the state police.

The names and conditions of the accident victims have not yet been disclosed.

The wreck caused a partial blockage of Interstate 15’s southbound lanes, resulting in a delay of over an hour.

State police are currently investigating the crash.
