Two Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each are sold in Georgia

Two lucky individuals from Georgia each won a prize of $50,000 in the recent Powerball drawing, although it may not have been the massive $1.326 billion jackpot.

The Georgia Lottery announced that the winning tickets were sold in Alpharetta and Leesburg.

The massive jackpot in the Powerball lottery was won by a single ticket sold in Oregon. The drawing was delayed on Saturday night due to a procedural issue.

The lucky combination of numbers drawn in the early hours of Sunday morning included 22, 27, 44, 52, 69, with the Powerball being 9.

If the winner chooses to receive the cash option, they will receive a whopping $621 million.

Saturday’s drawing marked a significant milestone in the world of lotteries, as it became the fourth-largest grand prize ever offered in Powerball history and the eighth-largest in the entire history of U.S. lotteries.

No one had won the Powerball jackpot since January 1.

Saturday night’s Powerball drawing experienced a significant delay of over three hours. This delay was caused by the need for one participating lottery to complete additional pre-draw procedures. These measures are implemented to ensure the game’s security and integrity.
