Judge Denies Young Thug’s Attorney’s Motion to Remove Lead Prosecutor in YSL Trial

In a significant ruling, the judge overseeing the Young Slime Life gang trial decided on Thursday that the lead prosecutor would continue to be involved in the case.

The legal team representing the Atlanta rapper, Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, has submitted a motion requesting the dismissal of Fulton County Assistant District Attorney Adriane Love.

During the trial, the jury was presented with the testimony of a woman who had been a victim of an armed robbery back in 2013. Love, the defense attorney, questioned the witness using a series of statements that started with the phrase “Isn’t it true you told me.”

According to Attorney Brian Steel’s motion, he asserts that Love willingly and consistently inserted herself as an unsworn witness during the questioning process. He contends that there is no other individual involved in this case who can be interrogated to verify the accuracy of her testimony.

The motion also requested the chance to have Love testify on the stand. However, the prosecutor opposed this and contended that there might be other potential witnesses, such as investigators from the DA’s office.

Judge Ural Glanville rejected Steel’s motion and ruled that Love can remain a part of the trial. Testimony will resume on Monday as the case proceeds.
