Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake is getting slammed for a racist social media post regarding Nikki Haley.
After the former South Carolina governor suspended her presidential campaign on Wednesday, the failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate and insane conspiracy theorist posted a message on X, formerly Twitter, to commemorate the event.
Lake referred to Haley in the article as “Nimrata,” a misspelled variant of her birth name, “Nimarata,” rather than her middle name, “Nikki,” which she uses professionally.
Given that Haley has used the nickname Nikki since she was a toddler, many people found Lake’s remark disrespectful, with some even calling it racist.
Donald Trump teased Haley, a US citizen born to Indian immigrants, about her birth name, referring to her as “Nimbra” and “Nimrada” on several occasions.
Other conservative personalities have primarily denounced Lake’s article on X for its racial attack on Haley.
Last month, Lake attempted to reconcile with the family of former Arizona Senator John McCain, whom she referred to as a “loser” during her unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign.
Meghan McCain, McCain’s daughter, answered with three words: “No peace, bitch.”
