A middle-aged Ohio Chick-Fil-AA franchise owner drove around multiple states, allegedly committing statutory rape on a 15-year-old whose parents came home and caught him in the act.
Stacy Lee Austin, 49, was arrested and charged with statutory sex offenses on Tuesday for having illicit contact with the minor at her North Carolina residence, according to the Rowan County Sheriff.
According to WBNS, a homeowner initially called deputies to report a break-in in progress, but the incident turned out to be far more distressing.
When the detectives came, one of the homeowners informed them that he had discovered a man inside their home with their 15-year-old child.
Austin allegedly acknowledged having sexual relations with the teen inside the home, and officers discovered his underwear and part of the teen’s clothing in a bathroom trashcan, according to the local station.
He had built an online relationship with the 15-year-old after conversing on social media and had driven from Ohio to North Carolina to meet, according to deputies.
After allegedly confessing, Austin informed officers he was worried about losing his job as the owner of a Chick-fil-A franchise.
According to jail records, he is currently being held without bond at the Rowan County Detention Center.
