Fatal house fire claims two lives in Montgomery overnight

Mocobizscene- According to Montgomery Fire/Rescue, two individuals have tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Montgomery early this morning.

On Saturday, around 1 a.m., MF/R swiftly responded to a distress call at the 1200 block of Avondale Road. The team arrived at the scene to find a one-story residence completely enveloped in thick smoke and raging flames.

During the search, firefighters discovered two individuals who were trapped in the fire – a man and a woman. Both victims required immediate medical attention and were provided with Advanced Life Support measures at the scene. They were then transported to different hospitals for further treatment. The man was taken to Jackson ER, while the woman was sent to Baptist South ER.

The hospital declared both patients deceased. The Bureau of Investigations is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
