Teachers charged after 1-year-old ingests THC edible at Indiana day care

Mocobizscene- Two teachers at a daycare center in Boone County, Indiana, are facing felony charges after allegedly allowing a child under their care to consume an edible containing THC, according to local law enforcement officials.

On January 16th, a parent reached out to the Lebanon police due to their concerns about their 1-year-old child’s unusual behavior. The child was taken to Payton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where a THC test yielded a positive result.

The police have informed the Indiana Department of Child Services about the allegations in order to address them.During the investigation, the police conducted interviews with the staff members at the Just Be Kids Learning Center day care. They found out that two staff members had tried to consume an edible containing THC while inside the classroom.

According to the police, the child managed to access a portion of the edible that was within their reach and consumed it. Paige Wilson and Stella Latham, both teachers from Lebanon, have been charged with neglecting a dependent, which is classified as a Level 6 felony.
