Mocobizscene-A child in Indianapolis’s east side was wounded by a gunshot to the stomach, as reported by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
A shooting incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the neighborhood near E. 21st Street and N. Post Road, specifically at 9156 Granville Court. Officers were called to the scene in response to a person being shot.
The child was taken to Riley Hospital by the police and is currently in stable condition. The police believe that the shooting was accidental based on preliminary information, but they have not yet confirmed this.
