Mocobizscene- A 13-year-old boy is said to have been apprehended by the police for his involvement in the brutal assault on a 76-year-old man in the Bronx over the weekend.
A teenager, whose identity remains undisclosed due to being underage, was apprehended on Monday evening. The young individual has been charged with robbery following a heartless attack on a man who is nearly six times his age. The incident occurred in the Kingsbridge Heights neighbourhood, as reported by the authorities.
Around dawn on Sunday, a group of three young-looking thieves on mopeds approached a victim who was walking at Webb and Sedgwick avenues, according to the authorities.
The three individuals proceeded to search through the elderly man’s pockets and took hold of his cell phone. Unfortunately, one of them carelessly dropped the phone on the sidewalk, causing damage to the screen, as reported by the police.
According to police, the victim received immediate medical attention from first responders due to a laceration and experiencing pain in his head.
As of Tuesday, the alleged accomplices of the youngster were still at large. The NYPD released a video late Monday showing the suspected muggers. In the video, they can be seen wearing winter coats with their hoods pulled up.
