Brooklyn store sells $10M lottery tickets twice to same individual without receiving any gratuity

According to the manager, the person who won two $10 million lottery tickets has not shared any of his wealth with the staff at the Brooklyn gas station where he bought them. The winner seems to have kept all the money for himself.

According to the manager, Asim, multiple lottery winner Wayne Murray has not yet tipped the staff at H&A Gas & Convenience on Avenue H in Flatbush after winning either time. Asim admitted that he is still dreaming of receiving a small share of the winnings, especially since he does not receive any bonus from the state for selling the winning scratch-offs.

Asim expressed his optimism about the customer who emerged as the winner, describing him as a very pleasant individual. He even mentioned the possibility of the customer returning in the future, which gives him hope.

In addition, Murray, 63, has seen a significant increase in business ever since he won a second $10 million from the New York Lottery’s 200X scratch-off game on Tuesday.

In August 2022, he emerged victorious in the Black Titanium game, bagging a whopping $10 million in winnings.

Asim mentioned that the store becomes popular.

“I’ve noticed a lot of new customers lately, with many of them specifically asking about our lucky store. They even mention that they’ll be getting their gas from here, which is great for our business,” he added.

Murray chose to receive the lump sum payout of $6 million for both wins, after taxes were deducted, as confirmed by lottery officials. Each game required a $30 investment.

New York rewards retailers with a $10,000 bonus for selling winning jackpots on Mega Millions or Powerball tickets. However, retailers who sell winning tickets for other smaller lottery games do not receive this bonus.

H&A will not receive a portion of Murray’s millions unless he personally decides to contribute.

According to Asim, he hasn’t crossed paths with Murray since the latter’s recent lottery win. It’s possible that Murray has been occupied enjoying his newfound wealth by exploring the streets of New York City in a luxurious manner.

Murray was seen departing from his humble residence in East Flatbush on Friday, driving a brand new 2024 Range Rover SV that costs at least $209,000.

He was unavailable for comment on Saturday, but two days prior, he had made it clear that he did not seek attention for his two immensely profitable windfalls.

Murray explained to The Post on Thursday that there are individuals who prefer to maintain a sense of privacy.

Hassan Nabil, a store clerk at H&A, has described Murray as a frequent customer at the store, noting that he hasn’t changed since his win last year. According to Nabil, Murray continues to play the lottery because he genuinely enjoys it.

According to the worker interviewed by the Post on Thursday, he described him as a very down-to-earth individual.

According to the New York Lottery, the chances of winning the 200X scratch-off game are 1 in 3.64 million, while the odds of winning the Black Titanium game are 1 in 3.53 million.

When The Post asked lottery officials, they were unable to provide information about the odds of winning both.
