Police Searching For Suspect In The Murder Of A Dothan Teenager On Thanksgiving Eve

According to records, Julius Ralph Brown, who is wanted for drug charges, is suspected by the police to be involved in the murder of a man in Dothan. In a Thanksgiving Day news conference, the lead detective identified Brown as the suspect believed to have shot Antwan Shonquez Register, who was 19 years old at the time of the incident.

According to Police Lieutenant Ronald Hall, a tragic incident occurred on Wednesday night along Richland Road in Dothan, resulting in the death of Register. According to Hall, “we have a couple of speculations about motive, but that still needs to be determined.”

Court records indicate that last month, 23-year-old Brown missed his arraignment on drug charges, resulting in an arrest warrant issued by Houston County Circuit Judge Kevin Moulton. Police will charge Brown with murder when they capture him and he is pending interrogation.

Hall expressed that today is a day meant for families to gather together and express gratitude for the abundance of blessings in their lives. However, there are families who are unable to do so as they mourn the loss of a loved one due to a senseless tragedy that could have been easily avoided.
