A teenage boy was fatally shot, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. in an apartment situated in the 1200 block of Lake Avenue.
According to Rivarde, the detectives gathered information from several other juveniles who were present in the apartment during the incident. They revealed that the deceased boy was attempting to rob another young person and ultimately got shot during a struggle over the firearm.
